Timothy Rippington has been declared the winner

Timothy Rippington (Labour Party) has been declared the winner in the Brislington East by-election held on Thursday 16 January 2020.

2,177 votes were cast in the election with Timothy Rippington receiving 865 votes ahead of Richard Williams (The Conservative Party) with 647 votes.

Turnout in the by-election was 23.6%.
